Candace Leigh
Beard
One could
actually say that I cut
my teeth on the church pews. I
have
attended and been a member of the Lindale Church of God for over 30
years. I come from
a rich Church of God
heritage. My
great-grandmother was a
founding member of our church. I
am
fourth generation Church of God. My
dad
is a retired Church of God minister, pasturing mostly in South Georgia. My love for music was
developed at a young
age and has continued throughout my life.
My husband and I are youth workers in our church and I am
very active
with the local music ministry.
I
am a proud wife, mother, and
daughter. My
husband is James Joel
Beard. My children
are Frankie (20),
Lacie (15) and Megan (9). My
parents are
Jerry and Nell Coley. My
family and I
live in Rome and are very active in our community.
I am a 1988 graduate from Pepperell High
School. A Shorter
College graduate in
1995 and 2005 with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. I am currently
employed as
Director of Human Resources with Murphy-Harpst Children’s Centers, Inc.
Through my music
I reflect a lot
on grace and mercy. I
know without a
shadow of a doubt had it not been for God’s grace and mercy that I
would not be
here today. God
divinely intervened in
hopeless situations and delivered me from the devourer.
I am so thankful that God saw fit to have a
plan for me and to reward me with the desires of my heart. I totally
stand on
the following scripture as a path for mine and my family’s life: Jeremiah 29:11 "For
I know the plans I have
for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.
